Celebrating the inaugural Tokyo Jazz Fest London at the Pizza Express Live presented by Bolygo Music, this edition of
CWCLDN invites the headlining jazz pianist, Makoto Kuriya – Japanese by nationality, American-educated, and a global portfolio of performances. From the music direction to TVS, being invited to speak at TED, and to even be responsible for the music jingle of Japan’s most iconic global character, Hello Kitty. The musician who found jazz during his time in the States shared with us what he meant about wanting to make “Japanese jazz” and where we are going to go in the music business.
