30/11/11 – Rio Film School feature

Cal Jader burns through another hour of fresh tunes – mixtape style with an across the board selection through the whole spectrum of Latin music. Featuring London based artists Los Charley’s Orchestra with a great new Boogaloo track from their forthcoming EP plus a rootsy Colombian vibe from Kena player Mauricio Velasierra. New tracks from Spain with Txarley Brown’s Banda Achillifunk with a cover of a Jorge Ben classic, Mestizo Cumbia from Che Sudaka and a recent classic from Ojos De Brujo. Elsewhere Gotan Project go Cumbia, a great new Salsa track featuring Ruben Blades, Hip Hop from Ana Tijoux, and a dose of Tropical bass bizness. Plus a couple of tracks from the Red Hot and Rio 2 album that came out earlier this year, and an Interview at the end of the show with Dorian Needs and Luis Nascimiento the men behind the Rio Film School.
