November’s Jewish Music Institute radio show brings you Bukhari Jewish
music from The Alaev Family as well as an interview with Dr Abigail
Wood (JMI Joe Loss Lecturer, SOAS) ahead of her book launch and
lecture on 20th November at SOAS. We look forward to Sholem Aleykhem
Comrade, music and poetry from revolutionary Jewish times in DLT on
7th Nov. Jane Merkin and Max Reinhardt of Suitcase 1938 are
interviewed about their resonant Kinderstransport commemoration
production that brings the story back to resonate around the UK from
12 November to 2 Dec. Plus we put film on the radio and interview the
UK Jewish Film Festival’s Managing Director Michael Etherton and
celebrate the co-working of the UKJFF and JMI.
