JMI Radio for February 2014

In this show we play lots of music from around the world of Jewish Music, we interview our artistic director Sophie Solomon about her inspirations for our new commission, Drawing Life. Based on the book; “I Never Saw Another Butterfly”, this exciting new composition marks the the 70th year since the commencement of the liquidation of the Terezin Concentration Camp by the Nazi’s. We also interview the singer and performer integral to the piece, Melanie Pappenheim. Kleznorth returns to Derbyshire and JMI are proud to be sponsoring it, we interview Phil Tomlinson and this year’s musical director Christian Dawid.

We also look to all the exciting events forthcoming in February and March.
