AWIL 160

Classically trained flautist Maia Barouh dropped into A World In London after her debut performance at Rich Mix as part of The Mosaiques Festival. Having discovered her singing voice just recently, Maia draws upon her Japanese roots and fuses them with experimental pop & electronica. Her unique voice has a deep and breathy charm to it and she has acquired a rare and raw throat singing style from the Japanese island Amami. Soon to swap Paris for London as her new home, check out her debut album ?Kodama?, produced by world music guru Martin Meissonnier.
