Whether you are looking to go beyond the Bob Marley recordings that everyone knows, or you are are a fanatical studio one record collector, this show is for you! Each episode will be exploring Jamaican Music, both thematically and chronologically from its beginnings in Mento and Ska, through Roots and Rockers and onto Dancehall and Digi. The show will also endeavour to go beyond the music to place Reggae within the social and political situation from which it sprung. Expect both intellectual critiquing, hyperbolic excitement and too many pull-ups. Wheel it back Selecta!
